As we reflect on the incredible contributions of our Veterans, it's also important to recognize the emotional and mental support that many need after serving. Many soldiers and veterans have found incredible support for emotional wellness through Young Living’s powerful tools in the Freedom Release and Freedom Sleep collections. These collections of oils were designed to promote peace, relaxation, and balance in the brain. As we know, essential oils have a unique impact on emotions and the mind unlike anything else in nature!

✨ Freedom Release Collection – This collection supports emotional well-being and is crafted to help release stress, tension, and emotional burdens that can build up over time. Whether it's for calming the mind or releasing negative emotions, these oils can be a valuable tool for those on a healing journey. (Currently OOS)

✨ Freedom Sleep Collection – Sleep is essential for physical and mental recovery. This collection promotes a restful night’s sleep, helping Veterans (and all of us!) achieve the deep, restorative rest that is so crucial to overall well-being.

These collections offer natural, holistic support for peace and tranquility, and they are a beautiful way to honor and care for the emotional health of our Veterans and their families. 🌿If you have a Veteran in your life that you love, consider gifting them one of these collections to express your gratitude and care for them!
To all the Veterans in our community and beyond—thank you for your service. We honor you today and every day.

Connecting the Drops: How Dehydration and Depression Are Related

Today, we're diving into a topic that might surprise you: the connection between dehydration and depression. Yep, it turns out that something as simple as not drinking enough water can actually impact how we feel.

Let's start with dehydration. What is it? Well, dehydration happens when our bodies don't have enough water. And here's the thing – our bodies are mostly made up of water, so when we're dehydrated, it's like we're missing a key ingredient.
Now, here's where it gets interesting. Studies have shown that dehydration can affect our mood. When we're not drinking enough water, we might feel tired, irritable, or even sad. And sometimes, these feelings can be a lot like the symptoms of depression.

But why does dehydration affect our mood? Well, our brains need water to function properly. When we're dehydrated, our brain cells don't work as well, and that can leave us feeling out of sorts. But our brains can't store water, even though it is made up of 75% water. When we are dehydrated, our brain also dehydrates and it actually shrinks in size! That alone should tell you how CRITICAL water is to our brain and body.

So, how can we break this cycle? It's simple – drink more water! By staying hydrated, we can help keep our brains happy and healthy. And hey, if plain water isn't your thing, there are plenty of other ways to stay hydrated, like drinking fruit-infused water or eating water-rich foods like watermelon or cucumber.

So, let's raise a glass to staying hydrated and taking care of our mental health. Here's to feeling our best, inside and out!

What are your best tips for staying hydrated?

XOXO,
Kelly
